The heartflelt drawings of ‘Book of Beirut’

‘Book of Beirut’ is a healing project transforming trauma into hope after the Beirut explosion on August 4, 2020.

Marking the first anniversary of the explosion, the publication encompasses a candid collection of art expressing how the children of Beirut felt, interpreted, remembered, and thought about the horrific event. Featuring 128 children, the compilation encompasses original heartfelt drawings and paintings.

The collection reveals how the children of Beirut felt, interpreted, remembered, and thought about the devastating event.

Through the medium of drawing, each child voiced their emotions, expressing their unique identity and personality, making the book a true witness for a story too sad to tell, and yet, too beautifully expressed.
